I was wondering how the 190D 2.5 and or the 300D would go either in a seriesIII or a Disco, do they have enough grunt, are rebuid kits or spares available and at what sort of cost, do theses engines have ZF autos stock, anything you think helpful, they seem to be cheap to buy, what sort of milage can you expect (engine life), Regards Frank.

Plenty of Nissan LD28's in landrovers and rangies. They're similar displacement, similar configuration and also indirect injection.
Not a lot of grunt, but very smooth and sweet being 6 cyl. The indirect injection makes them quiet but harder on fuel than a direct injection engine.
