    TD5 auto gear change switch

    Tried to remove old switch . The nuts and bolts; easy, HOW do you undo the wiring clip???

    TD5 auto change switch

    No pics, not that advanced. Switch is located on side of trans, above cat converter [on exhaust] 2small 10mm bolts, 1 13mm nut on switch lever, wiring from switch to connector mounted on side of trans which connects to wiring loom.

    Greg, why are you replacing the switch?
    what were the symptoms?

    Right, just about with you.

    The connector 'clips' into the bracket, a bit like a microphone clip, you know where you have the CB/UHF mic that has a clip, and to get it out it clips out forward or backwards - but normally it's hard, and means exchanging knuckle flesh and blood on the casing of the box.

    Replacing switch : when selecting gear after starting the two green warning lights would flash[selecting 3rd]. This requiring shutting down and then selecting N and restarting hopefully all reset. Checked with local LR mechanic recomended switc replacement
