i certainly think with the amount and spread of those of us that have bought these we can certainly make a dent in the stealers pockets for 'easy work' such as reprogramming and error clearing..
along with the thread andy started about kit and location i would of thought most could get to someone to be 'looked after'
Stu...
Any news on the delivery?
Thanks
Steve
I must have missed the posts about a group buy of Nanocoms. Is it too late to join in?
If not to late could Stuart (I think?) or someone contact me at hartleysmithers@hotmail.com as I am ultra keen to get hold of one.
thanks,
Hartley
Stuart at Rovercraft is the man.
Send him a PM.
Great discount!!!!
Andrew
All very interesting.
Except what is a "falut" and why would you want to read it ?
( refer to the initial pics of the nanocom display )
Must be a TD5 thing.
Hello Tombraider,
What am I looking at for an emailed map file for my '04 Defender 130CC for use with a nanocom?
Could you PM me the details?
Cheers,
Fraser
is this only for the TD5? or can it be used with the petrol efi V8 too? sorry if it sounds like a stupid question
Hi Brusier,
I had **exactly** the same scenario as you, up until the wiring harness point. I currently have the Three Amigos on, and I refuse to go back the "experts" again. After they "stole" $1500 off me for a reconditioned modulator the lights were back on again within 5 minutes (yeah, they road tested it, right). I went straight back, very angry, demanding my money back, they plugged the diagnostic computer in and told me there was "another" fault which they would fix for free. I tried to argue the point (I too am an Electronics Engineer), with a load of crap about how complex the braking system is, and I have no idea. I had to back down or I would have ended up in a fist fight. Needless to say, as far as I am concerned Range-Rov Automotive are L^*&@&g s$&m, I would never go back there, or let anyone I knew go there. If you make a mistake diagnosing a hard problem, that's fine, own up to it, refund the money and try and fix the actual problem, if you can't fix the actual problem, no charge, and walk away, that called being "honest", maybe they should workshop that at a management off-site. I still want my money back.
Anyway, enough ranting. I suspect the real issue may well be the wiring harness, it's the only thing that hasn't been replaced, I will have a look soon.
In regards to the Nanocom, a guy called Fraser in Carlton hooked his one up to my car so I could have a try. Very impressive, tells you everything, lets you reset the Three Amigos, I'll definitely be getting one. Many thanks to Fraser, very nice chap.
Cheers,
G.
I bought a nanocom from Blackbox and it completely ignores the fact that I have the three friends just sitting there all the time. Does not see them, so cannot clear their fault . Go figure. They were the main reason I bought the thing.
Are you looking in the right area ??
