Will be replacing the exhaust manifold, studs and nuts this weekend. New bisteins to go on as well. Wiring harness has been done and have no idea what the oil pump bolt is doing! At 170k's everything else seems ok at this stage.
Two questions:-
FIRST:- I intended to keep the original springs as no visible sag, just completly stuffed rear shocks and the fornt almost as bad. No ace or SLS, not interested in lifting. However, would king spring standard height improve overall performance as well as load carrying ability or is standard ok with the bilsteins?
SECOND:- Despite filling the tank to absolute full the guage reads only 3/4. Pulled the pump and sender out and the sender does not seemed burnt nor are any of the fittings loose. I did however adjust the float arm as it was not going all the way to the top to enable a full read. I am sceptical that this has fixed the problem. I have only done this last night so don't know yet if problem solved. The float arm looked bend looked standard before I got to it but now seems to read correctly on the dash. Did I fluke this or is there another known problem with this that I have missed?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
It is great to be back in a disco again.
