    V8 starter probs

    Just wondering if anyone has an old starter for the 3.5 v8 doesnt need to be working ,just need the alloy bit that sits inside the bellhousing as mine decided it was time to part company with the main section and go it alone,leaving the shaft and gear cog to flounder aimlessly,resulting in nasty gnashing noises from the area,not an urgent need ,but would like to have a spare just in case

    Go to Trading Post - Buy and sell cars, sell boats, sell dogs and much more online Australia wide and search for "rover starter".

    There's a few there.

    Alternatively I do have a non genuine Rover starter, Prestolite. It's got a slightly sticking solenoid. You are welcome to have it if you are in Melbourne.

    alas as usual melb is nowhere near Qld

    tis not an urgent problem ,have replaced starter ,just wanted to rebuild the broken one to keep as a spare,thanks anyway

    Ferno is yours geared or non geared?
    I have about 3 in pieces but they are non geared
