have you tried unplugging the plug next to the master cylinder??
My td5 disco is flairing between gear changes ie when I depress the clutch to change gears and also remove foot from throttle ( you know what i mean) it holds revs momentairily ,and it is getting steadily worse and more frequent. I was told that it could be the clutch pressure switch , replacement cost approx $100. any help or suggestions would be great.

When mine gets serviced they always plug it back in - first thing I do when I get home is remove it....one of these days I'll cut the plug off.![]()
dont cut it off.......if you decide to activate the cruise control you will need the clutch switch........
Mine does that sometimes too !!! I thought I was the only one! Funnily enough, it mostly seems to do it when the car is pointing uphill, but it can do it on any level I suppose. I just thought there was something dodgy in the clutch.
I thought that you could do this with the Defender, but not the Disco, so I will be watching with interest.
Cheers
Check also your connections and the cleanliness of your throttle position sensor you might find that its giving a sporadic reading just at idle or the return spring is lazy.
It might also pay to check the harness.....

If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
maybe happening because, when going up hill you hold the revs longer, and this could effect the throttle sensor ??
