TDI variations in performance.

Did read somewhere that they varied a lot when new, because the boost could vary anywhere between 12 psi & 16 psi.. out of the factory gates. Dunno how true this is though.

Another issue is these engines have been out for so long that almost all have been molested to some degree.

I've found the tappets on my Isuzu have a huge effect on how smooth the engine runs. Obviously diff clearances let diff amounts of air in and produce different size bangs.

But I've got the new injectors and she has my old ones installed.:huh: My old ones had done approx 280,000km and still going fine, pressure down only approx 15 bar and they also reduced smoke output in her's. Can't complain though mine does go better than other 300Tdi's getting around.
