You lift the base of the seat out, unclip the cover and slid the lid out ( very simple )
thought the 130's were all the same ???

Under the seat is where I have my two 90Ah AGM batteries.

Digging up a dinosaur, but anyone got photo's of solutions?
I was thinking I'd put studs either in the seat or bolts through the rear-bulkhead, the studs/bolts would have a hole drilled in them so I could slip hitch-pins through them.
Possibly also may drill holes in the bolts running through the seat base-mounts and use hitch-pins there so the seats can be quickly removed.
No idea, but when I finally got into my I found I'd left a full set of hoses and a Draper 1/2" socket set in there for the past five years.
Hi Vlad I don't know if my 130 was modified by the last owner , but each seat has one small turn-buckel holding the up the seat back so you can fold either seat by opening the relevent back door unclip the buckel and fold easy 5 seconds (depending on how much rubish you have on the back seats).Dave
This is one of my projects at the moment. The rear full width bench seat is hinged such that the back can fold flat onto the base then that unit can fold forward and rest against the rear of the front seats.
Only trouble is that the rear seat is bolted to the rear cabin wall. So, the project is to make a quick release, safe method of holding the back seat in place without adding extra rattles to the car.

I have been thinking along the lines of the latches on page 73 of the catalogue this link opens - in particular the hatch fastener. Shouldnt be too difficult at all.
VladTepes check this thread out I started it a while back there are some good ideas and images, it should help you out.

My fix - a bit agricultural but highly effective - was to make up a bracket that bolted to the outside top edge of each seat with half a link of chain welded to it and an L shaped bit of light gauge spring steel bolted to the bulkhead behing the seat. The L shaped bit of steel has a slot which fits over the half link of chain.
The L shaped bit of steel can be pushed off the chain link and then the seat folds forward. Originally had a linch pin which I put in when the seat was back in its normal position. Have since economised on this - the spring steel stays in place over the chain link on its own.
Could never understand why Landrover had all the folding hinges in place but had the seats bolted at the back........ and it is such a useful bit of space.
