Admit defeat. :D
ARB listed the RD56 for all 24 spline rover type diffs. For the rear of the Disco2 with ETC they listed the RD57 which is an error, and it actually takes the RD56. The RD57 is the P38 diff which was used behind the 4.6 V8 and was sold in the US market only. The D1 rear diff will go into a D2 rear diff in Australia.
Did you replace the bottom spring perches with D1 ones also or just not notice the differences between them? The bottom of the front springs are different, and the lower spring perches are designed to suit their respective springs. Also they are at different heights in relation to the perch mount on the axle.
Im wrong:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:
Must admit I checked my ARB cattledog in the shed this morning and was going to list the 2 different part nos.
But you clarified it Slunnie.
Thanks
Andrew
