    Isuzu Stage one??? Do they exist?

    Guys,
    Spoke to a guy from Bathurst last night who is keen on my Defender ute.

    He has a Factory Stage one Isuzu.... never knew they existed.....

    Yeah, there is quite a few around actually. I know a couple of fellas that have isuzu powered stage 1 utes. Just like the county they came with V8s and isuzus, but with leaf springs and Series 111 body. Exceedingly tough. Quite a turning circle though. Externally they look just like a Series 111 but with the radiator right out at the front of the gaurds, and the fact that they will happily do 100kph.
    84' 120" ute - 3.9 isuzu.

    Hi Clarkie, my brother in law owned one for several years before trading up to a 130. It had Series 3 bodywork and suspension but had the Isuzu engine and four speed RR drive line.I doubt if there were many sold. Cheers, 130man.

    yep jap engine... better built than any landrover engine!
