    Coopers supply their STT in 245/75 R16 ( well according to their website anyway ). I know there's been some discussion about delamination, but I still seriously consider them as an alternative when my BFG MTs wear out.

    Hi Wayne;

    when I spoke to Baulkahm Hills Tryes , they did mention that there was certainly no shotage on 235/85R/16's MT or AT and I was quoted $255 each , how does that compare with coopers of the same size , any idea?

    Why wouldn't you just go Goodyear MT/Rs - superior to BFGs in any case

    Thanks Stevo

    I shopped around a bit for BFG MT 235/85R/16 and cheapest price I found was $255.00 but wasn't sure that Price I was quoted was reasonable , but from what you're sayin it seems to be , will place an to order shortly , not sure about Good year Mt tyres , but the 6 years I've had BFG's I ve not had a tyre blow out or delaminate a tyre.

    Do you have em on your vehicle and if so how long have you had them for ? let us know mate. I'm interested to know more about Good year MT's

    Just got tyres last year for the disco.

    Apparently according to the dealer there was some issue with the load rating of the 245/75 16's, I ended up fitting BFG 255/70's All Terrain which I think work close to the same dia. I only had to bend the rear lip on the panel, by about 5 mm and adjust the steering of course.

    Don't know whether these are avail, in an M/T though as mine are A/T's. They were about $255 ea.

    I had the MT/Rs on my recently sold S1 Disco and they are fantastic. Had them on for about 60K km over some pretty rugged terrain - no chipping, no punctures and plenty of tread left. BFG A/Ts over the same terrain chip badly. BFG muds are good, but pretty ordinary on wet bitumen not surprisingly. MT/Rs are a good compromise tyre.
