'Tis a pity you weren't nearby otherwise I'd hook up my diagnostic gear and check it out.
It may not be the computer. It could be the valve block driver. That is known to fail.
Did Harry have another computer to try?
I can't help with a local guy. You say SE Qld - that's a big area. I suggest you update your details to give your location. It is helpful when we respond to queries.
If you can get air into your tank, we can get the car off the bumpstops and thus make it drivable. Blknight made up an adaptor and screwed that into the air tank (LHS sill) after removing the existing plug and put an air compressor line on there. A servo air line would be perfect.

air suspension
I just called "Harry" to find out what is happening with the part and why it was taking so long to get here, he informed me that rather than get a new ECU he hunted around and found a pre-loved part in Melbourne, which took a couple of days and then three days to get the part up to Noosa. So at least I got to the reason why it took a week to get here.
Thanks to everyone for their input into the problem, and as I have only had the vehicle for a month or so I can see that I have a lot to learn about the ins and outs of this Rangie.
Once again thanks to everyone for their input.
