Sorry, I must have missed this.

Which particular result(s) were you looking for?

I don't have any elements back from anyone yet.

Im going to make up a new gasket so try and remidy the problem but I feel there may be just a little too much backpressure with the provent fitted.

When I get the chance im going to rehose it and see if I can ease the backpressure a bit.
The valve in the cap will pop and vent to atmosphere when the pressure gets to high - make sure that this hasn't happened (there will be a small amount of oil running down the sides of the provent). How many km have you done?

I happen to have 2-3 spare Provents - I still have a reserve list - but not sure if those on it still have their vehicles and/or are still interested. If anyone else wants to join the trial - PM me, including how many km you expect to do between now and End March.

It's been a quiet year, ive only done 5000kms since I fitted it.....way back at 303000kms.

I havnt had time to go anywhere which is upsetting a bit but I will easilly put another 5 to 7 on it by march.

If you want it back now I could pop it in the post, Ive got an oil leak from my sump plug which im putting up with which I wouldnt mind fixing but Ive been putting it off for the sake of an oil change.

It hasnt popped the valve, the provent is relatively clean and dry and ive checked inside and it is draining aswell and the filter is black so it is working ok.

I think it is back pressure in the hoses seems they are relatively long and the intake hose has a bit of a bend in it so this may be my problem.

    Cheers

I'm getting close to my 15,000km. What's the procedure that you'd like for us to send them back?

I've only inspected it once to make sure the drain wasn't backed up and it was saturated, but not dripping wet with oil. Hope this is what it should be like.

Just seal it in a ziplock bag (or 3) - or similar - and post it back (with the sheet).

    Thanks.

Ben, get in contact with a couple of Fleet Managers at courier companies like Toll Ipec, Courier Australia etc and see if they can put you in contact with owner drivers. You will get your 15,000 k's in a few weeks plus have a varied range of vehicle fitments. Mines are also a good area to try.
As long as they know the test wont cost them, they should be fine with it, plus it makes them feel important!
I am a Mann dealer as you know, but as yet we have not been told about these. I would be keen to see the results as it may be a good product to on sell with new and reman. engines.
    Cheers

If you're a Mann filter dealer, why are you running a K$N?

Ben, have there been any cases of increased EGTs after fitting the provent, my EGTs have increased since fitting the provent, whether it's related i don't know, it could be just a coincidence or something else, just asking if you may have heard someone else say this.

    Baz.

Baz - I can't see how the Provent could have any influence on EGT at all - unless it is a reduction as you are burning less oil

Certainly haven't heard of it, however I will ask the guys in Germany next time I talk to them.
