    What are these plugs?

    I was just having a quick poke around under the bonnet of my d2, and found 2 plugs mounted on the top of the firewall, just in front of the cabin air filter.

    There is one on each side of the car. The connectors are rectangular, with 2 male connectors in each. The wires are the same on each with a straight black & purple / violet on the other.

    They seem to be for some accessory of some sort, but I cant fathom out what.

    May be windscreen heater?? it is an option for the colder climates

    Hey bloke... Ive been wondering what those plugs are as well and whether I can utilise them for something else... (spotties and the like). on the dash facia panel (set of six where fuel filler is) are a couple of dummy buttons (top left and bottom right) prise these out and youll find plugs attached to them - also second top dummy button on the group of four, left of the steering wheel has a plug (the rest of the dummy buttons dont have plugs). Does anyone know what these plugged buttons are for or where they lead? Hopefully one activates your two plugs.
    couldnt find any info in my manual......

    feedback anyone?

    Pretty sure rear air suspension models have the height adjusters there.
