How long should it take a LR Specialist with laptop to find a faulty Oxygen Sensor on a V8 D2, 1 or 2 Days?
Who has replaced one on the off chance it might help a sick car? I would have thought this was a no brainer.

If the air flow meter is faulty, which is very common, the diagnostic equipment
usually indicates faulty O2 sensors which is not usually the problem. It is usually the air flow meter faulty which gives a faulty fuel air ratio mix. We replace heaps of them.

True. Surely most technicians should be familiar with Motronic as one of the most common systems. The MAF issue is the same for BMWs and every other car that uses Motronic. It is usually the air flow meter faulty which gives a faulty fuel air ratio mix. We replace heaps of them.
Just as an aside most people do not realize that O2 sensors have a finite life and slow down over time. New sensors will often improve fuel economy.
They did on my E36 M3.
