G`day Adam ( if memory serves)
It not a straight bolt up , you need to fit a V pulley and you need to fit a Tach feed .
Ours has a 110amp mits multi rib/serpy from Falcon , plentiful at wreckers and not multipul 100s of $s .
No pics , just fitted so`s the belts true and has adjustment .
It uses a tiny 10A belt and lets you know if it is loose , has needed adjustment twice in the last 2yrs .
Cheers
Peter

I'm using a 100amp alt out of a disco.

A P38a alternator should fit OK.
I have an early Disco alternator on one Datsun A15 motor & a P38a 120A on another. Seing as they both fit Datsun motors, a P38a one should be right for you.

I have a 120 Amp unit off a Disco. I was running a Bosch 120 Amp for a while, but it interfered with the ignition system when under load.

Thanks all,
Sounds like the P38A alternator might be the way to go. I will have alook into that.

A GQ Patrol has a 120amp but uses 2 10A belts to run it.
I think you may have slipping problems with one belt over 85 amp, as Rover went to a hybrid system of a hokey ribbed belt driven by the crank in 92-93 for the alternator when they went over 85amp (or it may have only been an 85 amp and they had lots of complaints about noise)

PS change the charging wire to the starter won't you.

Yes, it has all be fully rewired.
I will call in and see Fred Smith tomorrow, Im sure he will know the best alternative.
