    can I turn my a/c into air compressor

    hi

    heres a good one for the experts

    can I convert my air conditioning compressor into an endless air compressor??

    and if so, whats involved?

    You can but the main problem is feeding it with oil for lubricating the vanes so your compressed air ends up having oil in it unless you pump it through an oil separator etc.

    This takes a bit of sorting out but plenty of the comp guys have done it and I have seen one on a Rangie that could drive a rattle gun.

    I think if you were going to go to the trouble of mucking around with that I would just modify the brackets and just fit a truck compressor that is designed for the job.
