Chassis cracks can also do this. Check the panhard/steering box mount at the front and also the body mounts, especially behind the front wheels.

Should there be any play in the front of the radius arms, where the radius arm bolts to the diff?

I mean play in the bushes, if put a big screwdriver in between the radius arm and the diff bracket i can move the radius arm side to side a fair bit, as if the bushes are really soft rubber and are just flexing.

should thid be like that? if your not sure what i mean I can post a pic to show where.

    Cheers

I had this problem with my new vehicle. It turned out to be a fire extinguisher rolling around under the seat!

I got this same click when the suspension is loaded up from side to side. It's the wifes car so it dosn't drive me that crazy. I got a feeling that it's sway bar related.

As the wifes Disco is lifted, who else with this noise has longer springs?

Common on modified D1 is front chassis to body mounts in foot well crack.

A hairline crack will click / clunk just like has been described here.

no one ever seems to check the track rod ends......they are also probably one of the cheapest and easiest things to change

Definitely with PhilipA with this one .......... panhard rod bushes. Had the same symptoms in the past...... felt through the floor, etc, etc. Rebuilt whole D/S hub blah /blah. The whole time it was panhard bushes.

Now again has the same noise and I know what it will be. I will be using Superpro (Fulcrum) bushes again.

    cheers, DL
