    D1 V8 fuel pump

OK just been reading through the d1 fuel pump common threads.
I found it to be 9 and 4 pages respectively of confusion.
So..... what i can gather is that the ultimate conclusion that was made was the VN commodore pump is sweet in the disco with the bosch part no. F000TE1772??
just need some one to back me up on this?
Im planning on doing it on saturday, and if wanted i can take progress pics of the job or maybe make a youtube video and embed it here.

That part number sounds familiar. If it is the one I wrote in the thread you are referring to then it is definitely the one.

It's a pretty quick job so I hope you have something else planned for after morning smoko

I have one of those as well. Although I didn't when I did my fuel pump.

Just recently I dropped my petrol tank out to repair a leak. It was the (1 in?) breather hose that goes to the filler on the tank end. Hose clamp was only finger tight.
I dropped the tank without first removing the pump as I didn't want to remove the LPG tank.
End result is job was done but there is not enough length in the petrol lines to do it this way and I broke the clips that hold them to the crossmember. I have just covered them in a foam sheet so they don't rub and put them back roughly in place but not too happy with it like that. Will have to fix it properly eventually.

So do it like you say and remove the LPG manifold tank.
