The facts:-
This drag link is a push - pull link.
When in compression, even a very slight bend results in a major reduction in strength.
It is a critical steering component, and failure would result in loss of control.
In practical terms, it is impossible to completely straighten a tube such as this.
Conclusion:-
Straightening is only suitable for a field repair to get you home.
For safety, replace it.

Got to get it through a blue-slip on Friday, so I'll try to straighten it for now and get a new one ASAP.
Does anyone know if the defender arms are the same part as the disco? If so I'll try to grab these:

run a tape measure over the two that you have
