3.9 V8i Electric Fan reccos.

Lucus, I was planning on fitting the OEM existing shroud back & sealing the fan housing to the core if necessary.

More thinking needs to be done on this.

I was watching a programme about Oshkosh the other day. A bloke was trying for an altitude record in an air-cooled piston engined plane. He had real problems cooling the engine at 35,000 ft and had to be sure he didn't burn up the engine even though it was minus 40 ( deg F I assume) outside)

It wouldn't matter if it was F or C

@ minus 40 they are both the same - in fact it's the only point reference in the C/F scale that are equal

Their recom. for the Discovery 3.9 V8 is 1 x DCSL16 & they claim one fan is better than two.
On the Discovery with AC, the fan needs to be mounted "downstream" between the rad & the engine, & polarity & fan blade reversed if necessary to draw through.
