    Disco II Part Numbers

This might be obvious but is there a place online on the web that I can obtain LR part numbers? I have the RAV disc but am sure where/how to obtain part numbers.

    Thank you

(I ordered a bonnet cable for a D2 and was sent one for a D1 - would have been nice to have been able to quote number first. Noow have to send back and get right one.)

Get a copy of MicroCat or EPC

    Both these list part numbers

I think Inc. sells the EPC (Electronic parts catalogue)

MicroCat is the way to go ( a bit messy to setup though. Have to keep resetting the system date to Sept 06).

    Anyway...

Mine lists 4 or 5 Cable Assys for the DI and DII depending on VIN!

Also available is just the cable.

Do you want the whole assembly or the cable?

Downloaded and followed the instructions contained within the large file... easy. You will need a program like ImgBurn to get the file on the above website onto a cd - take an image of what you have downloaded and then follow instructions under the crack file. As has been mentioned will need to change your computers clock for program to work....

    Have fun....

    This is off another forum

Additional info from the instructions for enabling this to run, as it stands it will need to have your clock changed, to avoid this follow these instructions:
There is a file called "dset" in
    C:\MCLRE\Mcindex\LRE
    and also
    C:\LRE_Data

Both files contain a single line, currently

    200609

If you change both files to a later date (say 200809) it will run without fiddling with dates.

I think you could probably do any date you fancy, I guessed at 2008 and it worked, but it will need to be updated in 2 years time. .

That didn't work for me - so I did this

So go to my web space - http://www.hubbard.nightmail.ru/Microcat/ - right-click the file lrmc.js - select 'Save Target As...' and save it to your C:\MCLRE folder

Once it's saved, right-click your Microcat shortcut, select 'Properties'

Change 'Target:' to point at C:\MCLRE\lrmc.js

Make sure that 'Start in:' points to C:\MCLRE

You may also have to click on the 'Change Icon...' button and make sure that it's pointing to C:\MCLRE\mclre.exe

Click on 'Apply' and then 'OK'

So now when you double-click on the Microcat shortcut, it'll run the JavaScript file, which will set your computer's date to 04/09/2006, run Microcat and when you're finished, it'll set your computer's date back to today's date.

You can edit the .js file with Notepad to whichever date your version of Microcat needs.

Hope you all find it useful.

I have found it easier to ignore the bits in RED - and just make a shortcut to the lrmc.js file on the desktop - and that works perfectly

Oops - didn't see your comment about making a .js on desktop.... did all the changes as prescribed and presto works great. (had to change script date to 4/10/2006)
