Has anyone used water wetter?.I was thinking of trying it but don't have any information as far as people actually using it.The corrosion protection is the question mark. Pat

I wouldn't use Water Wetter without some form of corrosion inhibitor like that used in normal coolants.
Also wouldn't use it without glycol where you can get below zero overnight.

Water Wetter is great in it's intended purpose, as is its competitor that I used to use, Neo Keep Cool, but I haven't seen the need for it in years.
They use a surfactant to reduce the surface tension of the water, which helps heat transfer in marginal applications, but modern coolants are formulated to do much the same thing.
Where straight Water Wetter and water wins out is when it is used without any glycol, as the glycol reduces the heat transfer capacity of the coolant.
I used the Neo version mainly in race cars, as most I worked on had marginal cooling systems and it seemed to help. My competitors at the time used Water Wetter had the same success. (I was sponsored by Neo Australia )

Tim Slako, the Redline importer told me that he used it in Patrols with no other inhibitor successfully, but that was TD42T's which are an iron head and block, aluminium radiator.

yep, redline, in conjunction with the usual 50/50 glycol mix coolant in 2 tdi's and 1 v8.

works well at transferring the heat from motor to coolant.
