it wont be an easy mod i can tell you that much, the a518 is based on a 727 but are different internally, you would need to run an adaptor to mate it to to the rr engine (not sure whats different in there but know you cant use bb housing so would be same story for the inter one (what range rovers used), also the extension husing is completely different so you would need to adapt that end too, much easier to go for a th700
Try the Castlemaine Rod Shop for gearbox adaptors, they know a lot.

I believe this is the way to go with the lower 1st, 2nd, 3rd. These gearboxes are cheaper to rebuild and can be built to 600 to 700hp.

range rover coupled the 727 to lt230 hence my putting a bigblock in front of it
hey mopar beleive they also made a 929 probly larger but if that will fit go the allison 6 spd.
never heard of it, might be a late model box, considered it but wont need an allison, transfr should let go before the box, they supported 600hp from the factory, can be beefed up to around the 2k mark
