Best combination of tyres/lockers/diff ratios?

I'm starting to get worried about the implications of running 265/75's on the Disco if the NCOP isn't taken on by NSW soon. I've spoken to my insurer and they'll cover anything that is okayed by a state's traffic body. So at the moment the biggest tyre I should run is about 245/75 :(

That said, if I do happen to get 265's :angel: , and I got flares, how much guard cutting will be involved in getting them to fit?

No need for flares and no guard cutting until you get over 33". You will need a bull bar and 2' lift looks better.

Even if the NCOP hasn't been adopted, you will pass engineering with a speedo correction unit (Truspeed). That particular unit does work with the D2, others wont. It also has 2 speed settings which allowed me to engineer for 33's and bigger offroad tyres.

lol! You must be hanging for it!

265/70-16 isn't legal being about 30.6". 29" is stock and anything over 29.5" without certification is not legal. That anything over about 245/70-16.

Already got Bullbar, Snorkel, Lightforce XGT's, etc. So the 2" lift will definitely look the goods :cool:

Sorry, I assumed that a 99 4.0 was D2 and 99 3.9 was D1.

I was talking D2 here, D1 is different and I dont have one, and haven't carved one up. You will have to cut the guards though. I'm also not sure what the speedo drive/correction is for them. Sorry, a misunderstanding.
