    Defender springs Kings or OE?

    Hi Everyone

I'm getting new front springs for the Defender and was going to go the HD option after reading last weeks informative posts.

Richard (Kie4) is doing them for me and says the OEM are hard to get hold of and asks if Kings equivalent will do?

Will they? Any advice on sourcing some OE ones in Australia before Monday?

I'm thinking the same way. All the posts i see say HD LR springs are the way to go.

It's not urgent I'm going to ask him order in the proper springs and do it when he can.

    cheers

    James,
I actually find the Kings springs to be every bit as good as OME springs. Changed mine out recently. I had the HD OEM ones in the rear. The Kings equivalent is the 50mm lift, cannot remember the numbers of the top of my head. The Kings are also substantially cheaper to buy and if you buy them through Coventrys are cheaper again than retail pricing.

I put OEM HD front springs in mine. It feels a lot better now. They're cheap to.

    Hi Guys,
I'm becoming (even more ) confused.

It seems like some posters are using OEM (original equipment manufacturer) & OME (Old Man Emu) interchangeably. They are VERY different products.

    Please help me out,

Thankyou, Glad someone else noticed the OEM, OME cross over...

    So what are we discussing?

    OEM (Landy HD) Coils?
    OME (AR Coils?
    KING Springs Coils?
