thanks fellas..
I fitted Donaldson shocks after a fair bit of digging around. From talking to Justin and others it seemed they were a combination of Bilstein and De Carbon.
I have been very happy with them. Not that they have seen extreme conditions like hours of travelling on corregations.
They are a big diameter shock compared to what was fitted.
Cost about $100/corner.
I've got the same ('85 County) but want to go a little longer on the rear. I've been thinking the modified B46-1477 Billies mentioned in this thread http://www.aulro.com/afvb/technical-...r-110-a-2.html
Anyone know how hard they are to mod to suit a Landy? Prices on the web of US$71 each excl shipping ex USA seem quite attractive.

the ones i just got from MR have the -H0 suffix
Dave,
They are a LOT cheaper than I can buy them from in this country:eek:
I've Emailed them for a quote to supply several sets...
Thanks for the link, and I'll enquire about the suffix tomorrow!

Dave,
HO and MO etc are suffixes to note any minor EXTERNAL changes to the shock, like dust covers, pin / bush mods, different bump stop etc.
Nothing to be concerned about, valving etc is all the same.

Dave - I have the HD (lifted) kings as mentioned, and billies. 95% happy. The only issue is when I am offroad, the front end feels a bit slow to extend when I am going over dropoffs or similar (i.e. one wheel at a time). Not 100% sure if it is the damping being too high, or the spring/shock just bottoming out.
