I'd be checking your calibration settings.
The instructions clearly state that you can use a VDO sensor OR a user sensor.
This suggests that you could use any sensor but would have to calibrate it through the display unit.

I will be checking the thermo too, although if the sender was working properly, it should had some sort of increase after i bled the system bringing hot water from the head past the sender i would of thought.
Fairly positive it is set to the VDO sender:angel: but i'll check again tonight.
Baz.
Another elimination.....
Check if the sender is the right one. The sender must be the right one for coolant and a different one for oil. I have not researched the instructions to check if they are one of the same or different.
Could you have an earthing problem? The instructions clearly state that earth must be good and nothing else is to be running off it as well. It sounds scary and may only apply to the EGT reading for accuracy but its worth a check.
If only I had the product in my hands.....
Dont let your tag line stop you Lyndon:D
:cool::BigThumb:
hehehehehe....
It's an old Arab proverb and here's another.......
'Examine what is said, not him who speaks'
As for the EMS and Baz, I have one on order and have been reading the instructions over and over.
By the time it gets here I should be able to install it in my sleep :D:D
Where can I get one of these and how much can I expect to pay?
Saturday i solved the problem with the coolant temp not working properly, it wasn't earthing through the adaptor that the VDO sender sits in, so I earthed the adaptor too the engine and bingo, we have a reading:D:BigThumb:
So It's all up and working well, I also upgraded to the EMS1, being optically challenged I can now read it much better:cool:
Again a big thanks to Jan (The Entertainer) for his help.
Baz.
Yep, i know, but it's working now, the EGTs, well today with the trailer loaded with firewood it got to 649, back off and it gets back down to mid to low 500s, i just got to learn not too bury the right foot so much:angel:
I think i need to do something too try and reduce EGTs too, can ya give us the name of the place you got your 3" done Phil, oh hang on i'll ring ya instead:rolleyes:
