On another list someone claimed that their neighbour had a new alarm installed and it played up with their d2 fob/immobiliser

Mine was doing it yesterday. 1st time in Sydney, (had to explain to my wife the 4 digit code over the phone) Second time in Morisset. Ctrl+Alt+Del fixed it that time, after I had to drive out and do it for her.

Somethings up and I'm jack of it.

How very very strange, it only happens at my house and as i roll the car off the drive it gradually gets better and better until it works properly.

localised interference... but any idea what? any ideas what frequency the fobs run on?

    Thanks

    I thought I heard/saw 433 mHz

However the exciter on the ignition is a 125 kHz sinewave

Thanks Ladas 433 sounds about right...

i have made progress.. its been working fine all day.. got home... no go. so i rolled the car off the drive and the further it got away from the house the more reliable it became with the fob. turned all the neighbours wireless off just in case.. no joy...

then.. i turned the garage opener off. after about 30-40 seconds the car was working. then after switching the garage opener back on it still works, so must of been something to do with it.. cant understand how it would effect it unless it transmits back to the garage door fob?

looks like its sorted for the short term anyway!

    Thanks for your help guys

    Steve
