Thanks, our mechanic has one so hopefully will get to the bottom of it. So where can we get one of these Nanocoms and how much are they.

    Cheers

Hey guys thought I'd give you an update on this problem, mate went down to our mechanic and he put on the diagnostic machine, found out it was in the Driver Command, was on setting 2, changed it to setting 3 and hasn't done it since fingers crossed, will keep a close eye on it as he said it actually might be in the wiring loom from the ECU to the dashboard.

Thanks to all for your inputs. Mate is a happy chappy again.

    Cheers

    Hey Zelko,

I am guessing you mean the Driver Demand Sensor (throttle)?

The setting in the ecu for teh 2 or 3 track throttle needs to match the throttle that is fitted. It either works or it doesnt so I would be suprised if thats what they did?

TD5's prior to 2002 used a 2 pot throttle peddle, after 2002 they have a 3 pt model. ECU need to know which it is, otherwise no go.

The electrical bit of the peddle (i.e. the throttle pot) is not available as a spare part, you have to buy the whole peddle assembly... And they aint cheap! Fortunately mine was replaced under warranty - that was an awfully expensive plastic peddle cover for LR!!

Id be surprised if that was your problem. Sounds much more like a sensor at fault or maybe sticking wastegate.
    Regards,
    Jon

I bought a new spare 2 track throttle from LR for mine and paid about 70pounds. I though that was pretty cheap!
