you check the part numbers for the northern or souther hemisphere ones?

if youve gotten the wrong ones the helical cut of the gear will be the wrong way round with relation to the coriolis effect of the oil and this unscrews the drain plug....

I'll just use thicker oil to slow the effect down Thanks I will.

Setting up is a piece of cake, far better than the stoopid shims and needle rollers

Yup, and unlike shims and thrust washers, you only have to do these ONCE!

Mine would last one trip from here to WA, then I had bronze paint for oil and neck snapping backlash to contend with. In its defence, it made it all the way home afterwards, towing . At one point near Ceduna on a 40Deg day,we had 100Deg C of transfer case oil temps!! And it got me home still

Try THAT with late model ' modern' gearboxes.

351 windsor bouncing on the limiter, mashing forward gears, reverse gears and lotsa CV smashing abuse...................mine lasted around 100km;s in the bush
