The windscreen jet has a thread on the back so you will not be able to pull it out, you will need to remove some of your dash to enable replacement. Any good parts place will be able to get you a jet.
cheers

Hi all,
On a recent trip to Kanangra Walls, a stray stone from another vehicle managed to find and shatter the front half (v-piece) of my front windscreen washer jet, before going on to crack the windscreen (oh joy).
Insurance will replace the windscreen for free, but not the washer jet - without an excess.
So... I want to know how hard is it to replace it myself - assuming I source the part from Simmonites or one of the other web stores.
I was tempted to yank the remaining 'trunk' with some pliers, but knowing my luck with cause more damage - so I thought I'd check with you guys first.
Any idea how to remove / replace this? And any good leads on where to find the replacement welcomed.
Thanks guys. Gav

Hi, I have replaced a firewall in the recent past and the very first thing installed was the washer and straight across the top of this is the wiper cable, making this very difficult to access without removing heaps of stuff. You will have to remove the long section across the top of the dash as a minimum, just to try and see the back of the washer.
Karcraft at Silverwater (Sydney) sell these for about $10 which is way cheaper than the alternatives
Thanks guys - as I suspected, looks like I'll have to remove the dash. Cheers, Gav
I am sure if you take out the ash tray in the top rail, you can get to it..... just
alternativley, if the boss in the frame is still intact, you can buy a new one, take it apart and superglue the front off the new one onto the old one.
Mine have come apart about 20 times, especially when its cold, and they freeze up. Using the wahers blows them apart

as an alternative, I know I read somewhere on one of the UK sites about converting your wiper washers to common 'gardening type' micro jets as used for watering systems - they were mounted direct to the wiper, 3-4 per side and enabled better than standard mud removal after a dunking...
worth a shot if it means not removing the dash!
