Is a crank angle sensor worth having in the glove box?

On the TD5 its the only sensor that will prevent the engine from running, although a dead throttle sensor has almost, but not quite, the same effect. But there are many items other than sensors that could inhibit progress and Murphy has plenty of options.

If you look closely Redback at the shape of the headlights in the square (well rectangular since we are getting more technical)
binnacle in the last of the D2's you will see....round headlights:).

I wouldnt necessarily carry a coil pack because it can be replaced at intervals when you consider that their life is close to being expired, but a crank angle sensor is one of those things that, it seems can go at any time, largely independent of miles. You can do without some sensors but not that one.
