Mine is the bellows type and no I haven't had a look inside. I know it is fully extended but don't know if they are supposed to be like that. I can't bring myself to replace the pipe due to the cost and the uncertainty of it fixing the problem. I had looked on the net for another bellows type without success. A wire one is something I had not considered but its now on the to-do list. Thanks for the advice.Quote:

Interesting...... currently have a straight through factory 2.5" exhaust on my '99 D2, but fitting the 2.5" muffler remains on my list. Mainly to try and gain a bit more torque lower down and also to knock the edge of the sound as I have no muffler or resonator on mine.
Would have happened a lot sooner had the vortex site got back to me to explain why it wont accept my credit card:mad: Emailed and phoned but to no avail...........maybe he didn't want to sell me one:eek:
