welcome to the land of the three amigos do a search on the three amigos and all will be reviled. Changing break pads this week to see if this goes away on mine as it only happens when cold most times
the thing is i've got 500km left on my warrenty .I contacted Sothern landrover tonight and booked it in for thuresday they said there is a sencior that controls the abs,t/c and h/decent and it maybe be faulty and now i've got to keep my k's down until thursday ......thanks for replying![]()
Mate, I had both front wheel sensors replaced at different intervals, under warranty, earlier this year. Make sure they don't just clear the faults. Hopefully the fault is recorded as "Current" not just "Logged". If the latter, they will clear the fault and take it for a run. If it doesn't fault again, their job is done until it faults again. Unfortunately for you, it will probably fault again post warranty and it will cost you to have it reset again or actually fixed. Find a Pal with diagnostic equipment to help you out.
The 3 Amigo's has happened to me once in the bush, possibly caused by a specific sound frequency caused by indexing of my Detroit locker on the rear diff. I was able to reset it on site and all was good.
Hope this helps....
If they dont replace it on warranty, consider just buying a Nanocom unit which will able you to clear the error codes. Likely to be as cost effective as replacing the sensor. If it is only going off periodically its not worth replacing the sensor and plus you then get a diagnostic tool...
Presuming you have a td5 though...

This is a generic fault with D2's.
every single D2 made will have this fault at some stage,,,
and live through it.
Living with a D2 without these functions would be like --
opening stubbies with a bottle opener,
playing cds in your new MP3 player,
hiring Quantom Of Solace on tape,
"How long since you've visited The Good Oil?"
