Jock,
The price you were quoting would have been ex USA when the dollar was up. I had a set of Billies landed at my door for $465 Australian. Shocks were $65 USD each. The exchange rate was 96c at the time. This would make them much more expensive now.
I was quoted at the same time $900 plus $100 AUD freight from Perth and additional cost for any specific valving,so you can see why I got from the US. May not be as effective now.
I think I used shockwarehouse.com
Cheers
Craig

I'm tempted by a set of Boss shocks?
Has anyone had any experience with them?
If not then it will probably be the Konis
XSIV has just put a set on his 130.. there is a review on the shocks on suspension stuffs website, the bloke that wrote it is on this forum..

Have you thought of buying from the UK. Looked up Paddocks website for some Bilsteins for a RRC and they are 52.50 pounds each. Even after you take into account freight, thats got to be cheaper than you can buy them here.
Have a look at the new Old Man Emu Nitro sport shocks, I've got bilstiens in my wifes Defender and the Nitro sport feel better, they have upped the warrenty on the new ones to 3yrs 60k.
