The Dana 60 axles are bloody strong. Ive never had them out to count the splines.
Tony - for the tyre size you are running I don't think you could ever break MD or similar 24spl axles. Just buy the locker of your choice and if/when the stock axles break buy some upgrades.Quote:

Bear in mind - 24spl axles and locker are about the same price as 30spl. However there is a $1k jump to go to 35spl, as you need to change stub axles and bearings.

NO, not at all (I assume you meant stub axle not hub?). You cannot machine the Sals stub axle out by that much, so you need to swap them for Jacmac billet (4340?) stub axles which run slimline bearings. IRC some slight hub machining is needed, but there is plenty of meat there - Series landies run MUCH larger inner bearings than coillers.Quote:
