Sounds interesting.... i was going to try and pick up some defender rear hubs to use, i wonder what needs to be done to the drum hubs to fit the rotors? are there any members out there that have actualy done this mod???

Sam Overton at Haultech Eng. is the only person I know who has actually done it. He should be happy to help if you give him a call (he is also on outerlimits every so often).
The stub axles are custom - billet machines - around $800/pr. The hubs need to be machined to take the bearings, Drum hubs may have more meat, but you can use either. You just need to face the back of the (drum) hubs and drill and tap them to accept disc rotors.
Well heres a side by side comparrison, Zeus my dog wanted to have a good look over them too....

Very nice!!!
I forgot to say above - you can use either drum hubs (county rear) or disc hubs (county front) - or possibly 200Tdi disc rear.
Around the time they changed to the 300Tdi, they also changed to a narrower bearing spacing. Unless JM make narrow-bearing stubs you will need wide bearing hubs.
I think the rover tracks stubs are probobly narrow spacing so i guess im up for some defender hubs.... probobly not such a bad thing when im trying to do the whole defender rear brake setup as well, using bush65's method with the hyrdoboost as well.
This pic here says it all, look at the difference in diamter of the cross pin and spline for the axle..... BEEEFY

I'm going to go with 30 spline detroit, just sorting a few things with Keith, need to measure up earlt RR stubs that I'l be using to make sure they can be bored far enough.........anyone have a lock tab as oppossed to flat lock stub they'd like to measure the bore size? as I'm away from home:(
Cant help you with the tab ATM.:( So you no longer need the Maxi jig?
