Thread: ZF Auto Rebuild

See if your local LR repairer can get an exchange transmission straight from ZF.
You know it's been done right & there's no waiting for yours to be rebuilt that way.

The $$ shouldn't be too bad (cheaper than some I have heard of at least).

Anybody know who the ZF people are in Sydney or Melbourne??

Come on guys simple question, only needs a simple answer.

A&B in Melbourne who apparently are heavily involved with ZF in Germany.

I thought there was actually ZF in Sydney, but I don't know what the facility is.


Oh... for the simple answer to the simple question..... Yes.

most recent I am aware of is 51 jay and I was swinging spanners for him on that, had to replace the front clutch pack pump and a heap of other heart achery in the process but thats not my story....

try him for the info.,

ZF Australia are in Sydney (Arndell Park) but I'm not sure they deal with the public.
You might need to go through a workshop to access their exchange transmissions.

You could always contact them to ask the question though.

The last price I got from A&B was $3300 for a complete rebuild, all new internals but no mods.

That was exchange only, not fitted.

You need to order it through a fitter or your LR specialist though I was told.

Had mine done through a friend in Canberra.
