    Question Tailgate- missing parts

Okay so problem no 3 on my long list of problems
My rear door/tailgate won't open from the inside at all. It will only open from the outside if you turn the key and pull the handle at the same time. If you turn the key then pull the handle it will just relock.
It doesn't work with the central locking at all. The two rear passenger doors also only work with the central locking intermittently.
I pulled off the trim on the inside and checked out what the Haynes manual had about it. The big thing that stood out is there seem to be fewer parts in the door then in the manual. Some parts in my door don't link up with anything? I found a screw and a small spanner inside the door but there are no other loose bits in there. Anyway here is a photo tell me what your opinion is?

The black box in the bottom left of the photo is the central locking actuator. There is supposed to be a rod connecting this to the left hand end boomerang shaped lever at the top for a start

It probably belongs to the person who left the spanner in there now

Isn't nice of them to take parts? It didn't know I starting wreaking it?

Do you think it will be expensive for me to replace?

tried that doesn't work. Would have been a cheap option if it did but 'fraid not.

Isn't that the same as what I tried? The thing is when the central locking bit pushes up it has to push the other brass bit and when it isn't the excact part it doesn't work like it should. Well at least not when I tried.
I wonder if anyone is wreaking a simlar one I can buy the bits from. I think there is something else missing in there too. Because the inside handle does nothing.
