When I bought my airlocker (RR 10 spline) direct from ARB about 9 years ago, they stipulated that i should run limited slip diff oil to protect the o-rings and seals. The diff i bought was old stock and had been sitting on the shelf for over 2 years, the o-rings failed after about 2 months. When i went back to ARB, they said "what kind of oil have you been running in it?". When I said 'lsx90 just like you told me to' they said no problem, seals must have dried out on the shelf- rebuilt the diff as warranty job. That diff has been working without fault for 9 years/about 300,000km on lsx90, (except for when all the crown wheel bolts came loose last year:(- and I don't think that is oil-related).
