    300Tdi engine price ?

Gday everyone i might be picking up an Isuzu county and am planning (if i get it) to put the 3.9TD in my 130 and selling the 300tdi Anybody have a rough idea what a 96 300Tdi with 180,000 on the clock would be worth ? Just had a new head and all timing/timing seals done by a reputable land rover mechanic before i bought it.
    Cheers Adrian

I suspect that you will not be allowed to put a 3.9D from a county into a defender.

I would check with your registration body but the 3.9 would have to have the same or better emissions rating than the 300 TDi before they will allow it to be road registered.

Roverplus in Ballarat Vic has one , new belts AND all needed gaskets replaced $4999
Id say $2500 to $3000 with a motor of known history is a fair asking price
I have one with 238000 ks id like to get at least $2500 cash for

There shuoldn't be any problems with putting a 4BD1 into a 300Tdi Defender because the relevant ADR also covered the 4BD1 Counties. My Isuzu conversion went straight through engineering approval without any problems.

Defender=1st pm me your phone number if you would like further details and or to discuss the conversion process
