Just "up dated" the 97 Defender 130 to an 01 Defender 130. The clutch pedal effort is a lot greater with the td5 as compared to that of the tdi.
Is this normal?...............Pat

When I was in Coffs Harbour I pressed the clutch pedal on a 300 Tdi Defender.
It was so light that it felt like a Japanese car! The pedal box had been pulled apart, cleaned and lubed after the clutch pedal used to stick down.
Perhaps a preoperly lubricated pivot is all that is required.
