    New Design Rover Heads Coming

There has been some discussion on US and UK BOP/RV8 forums about progress on developing new cylinder heads.

These are being developed by TA Performance who are the main Buick specialists in the US having now bought all Kenne Bell's Buick stock.

The heads are based on Buick 350 designs. They are expected to outperform Wildcat heads at a fraction of the cost - should sell for around $2000 US - about a third of the price of Wildcats. The patterns are currently being done at the foundry, with heads expected to hit the market in approx 12 months.

The cylinder heads have always been the restricting factor with RV8 power production (just compare valve sizes with GM or Ford heads for one reason). If these new castings are as good as TA claim some decent hp should be unleased on the bigger bore motors.
