Well the county came out with a 3.5 and i doubt there is any difference between them firewall wise.

Mate of mine has a '96 Defender with a 3.5 V8 out of a '91 Disco. As stated above dont think they are very different

I think it was done by the offroad place up in the Gold Coast. British Offroad? Or something similar. Ill find out more if you like?

Wont be able to get any photos for you for a week and a half though sorry

    Hope this helps

    Yeah will fit no worries.
My brother put a 4.2 V8 from an Lse rangie in a defender 90 . He also put in the Borg warner auto box while he was at it. Very nice truck and boy it went. Also have a mate who put a 4.6 V8 (from a P38) into a Defender 110 Camel

I've not long ago put a 3.9 into a Series - runs the same body work though. There is enough room but its very tight under the bonnet. The Plenum actually sits inbetween the bonnet rails on mine, as with the alternator.

My Rave has a supplement for the 4.0 litre Defender, so I couldn't see why a 3.9 would not fit.

I think the 4.0 may not be as high as the 3.9.

you can but its not strictly a "drop in" affair theres some things that need changing but if your v8 already its nothing insurmountable.
