Considering that this started with the title "aaaargh bugger CDL" the metamorphosis has been extremely amusing! May I commend all involved in this thread - alas I can offer no better advice to help Spenboyd but I hope whatever he needs to do works!

Got the bolt out!....thank you very much Irwin tool company for your wonderful Bolt Grip sockets. The saga continues however now it appears as though the small lever that connects to the actual spigot has taken advantage of the general commotion and disappeared I suspect down the heater vents.
Anyone know where these things go....the heater vents that is

lets just say that i am a very talented individual with skills that no ordinary, vaguely competent man can hope to attain.
To be honest i am not even sure i received the little lever as part of the package sent through to me by the wrecker but as I was busy rounding the bolt on top of the transfer case last night I seem to remember hearing something slither down behind the glove box....of course it could just be my increasingly feverish mind playing tricks on me.
