Fitting 110 brake calipers to dual circuit early Discos?

Have done this to a 95 Disco with a single front brake line, fitting bigger calipers and vented rotors.

But how do you convert the RR style dual brake line models?

Was there a Defender with dual brake hoses?

you retrofit the whole discovery braking system.

or you can blank off one of the sets of lines going to the front calipers (the ones that link to the rear brakes) but dont get caught doing that.

Why don't you use the late RRc ventilated rotors and callipers. I seem to remember a post where Justin C (or someone else in the know) suggested that the pads were the same as the Defender.

I retrofitted the 1992 callipers and new rotors to my 1985 RRc with noticable improvement.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

You can do it by fitting a T piece on the top of the swivel housing (bolt to one of the railko pin bolts) and run 2 lines in and 1 out. I have done it the other way, 1 in 2 out to fit a RR front caliper to a 110 front axle. Easier still, why not get a 2 pipe RR caliper.

it shows how i converted dual lines to single by fitting 98mod callipers to my 91 ute.
the new flex lines are female to female and the old flex are male to male.
also the master cylinders are differant, the dual system has more outlets than the single, maybe source one of these and run 2 more new lines.
    cheers phil

The Defender caliper is about 25% larger in braking size than the Disco 1.
I think the RR calipers are not as big as the STC1266/7 Defender calipers?

Although more than happy to be proven wrong...... What model RR are we talking, never owned one and don't know if they have vented rotors or not?

And thanks for the tips, won't be mucking with the lines but am interested in the 2 lines into one conversion at the end of the std pipes.
