Better low beam?

i'll agree with this, i was running 100w Philips Rally H1's in my low beams and 100w Philips Rally H3's in my high beams untill i was warned about the low beam reflectors in my model XR8 not liking the higher wattage lamps, i switched to Philips +50 H1's, didnt notice any difference in light output

running IPF 130w H3 lamps in my high beams..... not much better than the philips lamps.....

Hi tracker, as posted above, I make a wiring upgrade kit and most people who have fitted it, usually find that once the upgrade is done, their existing globes are so much brighter that the fitting of higher wattage globes is unnecessary.

Just a suggestion.

:twisted: I fitted a Traxide Headlamp upgrade kit AND 130w/100w globes...I love daylight at nighttime:twisted::p

In the Disco2 I've been running 90/100's for years and the reflectors have not been affected by them...... well, actually one lens was when I was doing a river crossing and it cracked. The wiring handles it generally, and did so for quite a few years, but eventually both plugs started to melt and the headlights wen't dim. I fitted a Traxide kit and so far its all been sweet. Running the 90/100's you wont need a loom straight up, but you will eventually.

forget that Tim,I've just gone naked and dial tones are a bit different.:cool:

HID is really the answer for the ultimate low beam. I have it and will never go back to halogen. Only draws 35W so there are no heat issues...... you should upgrade the lighting circuit in any case, and all will be good!
