I've only heard good things about Kings and when I go again they certainly will be on my list

if you want sag then kings are for you

kings compromise height for ride quality.

Thats a bit of a generalisation, sounds like a poor choice of spring not manufacturer. If you have ride quality but not the height you wanted then you either are carrying more weight than you thought or picked the wrong length spring. If your springs sacrifice ride quality for height I.E a much heavier rate to hold the car up, when they sag they will still be a hard riding spring that won't change.

I've used King Springs in my race cars for 15 years and have never had a problem. This includes a set of custom ground variable rate springs.

Our Commodore also has had a set in for at least 8 years. They transformed the Commodore and there has been no sign of sag at all.

When I re-spring the Disco, I'll be using Kings.

I only ever used Kings for my race springs too, and they all sagged, took sets and leaned over drunkenly which made corner weight setting a pain in the arse when swapping around springs at the track.
The rates were spot on when we checked them.

In their defence, that was fifteen years ago.

These days I would use Eibach wound to my specs if I could afford them. (I don't like off the shelf spring rates, generally too hard IMO for what I want to do)
Lovells cold wound springs should be good, (gerenerally only used for springs using 5/8" wire and under) as they were shown how to make real springs when they were the Eibach distributors, but I have no experince with them these days.

Why hasnt anyone mentioned Dobinsons Springs. IMHO they are a great spring especially when used in combination with their shockabsorbers. Reasonably priced, will deliver anywhere but a bit firm when new. Bob

i bought a set of king springs second hand of discowhite back in 2005 i think and they are still going strong. Offer pretty good flex and hav sagged maybe a little, but otherwise good. Ride quality isnt to bad either, they have well and truely outlasted the OME shocks i fitted at the same time, excellent value for money i say.

not many springs on the market will give the lift they specify, in most cases where they say 50mm you will be lucky to get 40mm.

I am sure there are better springs on the market, but for the money King Springs do the job. I will be shopping for new suspension later in the year, but i got good value for money from the kings i have now. It will be interesting to measure them and compare them to the new suspension. I did measure mine before i put the kings in and then after i put them in and i think i got a fair increase in height over standard cause my standard springs were stuffed. I wouldnt have a clue how much they have sagged since i put them in, i dont think it would be much.
