URGENT D2 CDL prob - no light on dash

    Hey guys,
After some urgernt help before it gets dark!
Just finished installing my CDL lever (like LandyAndy's, with the swivel joints and extension bars), got it all almost back together, well, to a point where I thought it would be ok to check it all works, and I get no light on the dash indicating wether its on or not.

Now whilst I've been fitting it, I've obviously moved it around abit to check play, clearance etc, but now I don't know if the CDL is activated or de-activated, and I'm a little concerned about taking it out on the road now!

I've tried putting it through the gears with engine on, turning CDL on/off through each, and doing the same in HI/LO, but still no dash light.

Any body got any hints or tips?
    Anything I've forgotton/missed.....??

Deperately need to get the cabin back together as missus needs it first thing in the mnorning, and I'd prefer not to be doing it in the dark.

    Cheers,

    All fixed!

    Oooops!
    All sorted!!

Remembered reading a post sometime back now about having to move the vehicle back and forward. I obviously wasn't travelling far enough in either direction for the switch to do what ever it does!

Little light on bash now goes on and of when engaged/dis-engaged!

Woo-hoo!! CDL in my Disco! Bring on the sand!!!

    Cheers,

Just remember that the light won't always go out immediately after disengaging either. May take several hundred metres. Anything more than this I would pull over and reverse a short distance.

Just finished off putting all the interior back together.
Am I right in thinking that the CDL thingy is a "3 stage switch"?
I seem to have two off's and an on.
But the 'on' isn't the middle position.
Does that make sense to anyone?
It sort of goes "firm off", "loose off" and "on" (when light on), and then the same when turned the other way' whenever off, the light is off.

Does this make sense to anyone?

    Cheers,
